We recently sold a used Atlas 12 m² horizontal shell and tube heat exchanger to Allessa GmbH, Germany.  When selling second hand equipment into Germany it is very important to have the relevant technical documentation in order to obtain approval from the TÜV (Technischer Überwachungs-Verein - Technical Inspection Association).  Due to a lack of technical documentation for this particular item our Sales Manager, Julie Morris had to place an order directly with the OEM, Atlas in the USA.

Perry Process has close connections with OEMs which helps us obtain the required technical documentation for our customers quickly. We ensure that our relationships with OEMs are strong as some of our customers could be forced to cancel their orders if we are unable to supply technical documents with our equipment. This is mainly due to the additional costs that would be incurred to have the equipment recertified or approved.

Julie Morris repeatedly contacted Atlas until she managed to obtain a drawing and the required CE documentation. We received the CE documents in January 2014 and shipped the unit to Germany in February 2014. We also carried out our own 'in-house' hydro test on shell and tubes prior to despatch and sent a test certificate to the customer to confirm that no faults had been found.

One month later, Matthias went on to purchase another heat exchanger from us, stating that the initial service, turn-around-time and price of used equipment were the main factors in his decision to purchase from Perry Process Equipment Ltd again.
