Perry Process Refurbishment Programme

Perry has the in-house expertise to fully refurbish any unit from our stock. All refurbishment work is completed by our own Engineering Specialist Team, at our Newton Aycliffe facility which makes the turnaround time minimal.

This year, we have refurbished and sold a 1,500Ltr stainless steel ribbon blender to Sticky Baits, UK. The unit was inspected before refurbishment began.

The unit was stripped down and shot blasted in our purpose built facility. Following this, the unit was primed with a zinc-phosphate primer, as per the customer’s request. Our Engineering Team replaced all lubricants required and checked the integrity of all mechanical parts.

The completed unit ready for shipment.
Once completed, the unit was reassembled and a new frame was constructed. A full test run was carried out whilst witnessed by the customer. Sticky Baits, UK statement:
“The Ribbon blender was refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and was barely recognisable from the blender that we first viewed. Exceptional service and work from start to finish, Thanks!”

Perry Appoints New Sales Manager - Dan Smith

Congratulations to Dan Smith, who has just been promoted to Sales Manager at Perry Process, UK.

Before joining Perry, Dan graduated in Bilingual Business Studies and worked in France for five years. When asked why he returned to England, he couldn't recall but we know it wasn't for the English weather.

Dan joined Perry in August 2011, as a Sales Assistant. He quickly found his feet in our UK office and is now responsible for covering the sales regions in France whilst working closely with our Plant Co-ordinator. As an avid cyclist, Dan choses to cycle over 50 miles per day to commute into work, plummeting the C02 footprint of Perry Process Equipment Ltd. In fact, Dan was previously a member of the Great Britain Junior Cycling Squad and has competed alongside the 2012 Tour de France winner, Bradley Wiggins.

We are sure that with Dan’s endurance and enthusiasm, he will be a key member of our Perry Team.

Richard Driver Celebrates 25 Years of Service at Perry

On 16th November 1987, Richard Driver began working for the Perry Group over in the USA. Three years later he returned to his native UK to establish the first European office, known as Perry Process Equipment Ltd.

Some interesting facts from 16/11/1987:

  • Ronald Reagan was President of the USA.

In recognition of Richard’s 25 years of dedication and as a token of our appreciation, we said "Thank You" to Richard with a presentation and a gift. Our Managing Director said a few words, in which he described Richard as a great servant to Perry and a brilliant asset to the team. His experience and knowledge are second to none and he continues to thrive in his role with endless enthusiasm, hitting and exceeding his targets with consummate ease.

We are all looking forward to Richard hitting his next milestone of 30 years at Perry.

Perry Celebrate 80 Years

Perry has been at the centre of the used process equipment and machinery world for more than 80 years. Today we have one of the world's most extensive inventories of used equipment, with offices and agents worldwide.

In 1932, Perry Epstein formed his company, Perry Equipment & Supply Co, in Philadelphia, USA. During the early 1950's, the company started to manufacture new pressure vessels and heat exchangers alongside its used equipment division.

By the start of the 1970’s, Perry’s used equipment division, which had originally focused on chemical process equipment, had expanded into additional industries including Plastics, Pulp & Paper, Sugar and Pharmaceuticals.

The original company is now called Perry Videx and is headquartered in New Jersey, USA.
Perry’s first international venture was in 1990 when they established a European Business Division based in the UK that is now known as Perry Process Equipment Ltd .

Over the years, several other international offices have been established to cater for the global nature of the business and to ensure the highest quality service and the largest range of stock for our customers.

Time Line:

  • USA 1932
  • UK 1990
  • Poland 1995
  • Czech Republic 1997

Article on Used Equipment found on web

    http://www.ehow.com/list_7916966_rules-accepting-used-process-equipment.html

This is quite an interesting article on some of the points you should consider when selecting used equipment and an equipment dealer.  They are somewhat common-sense but could easily be overlooked, although the chances of one item being mistakenly shipped for another are pretty remote.  What do you think about these comments?

    Snow Days at Perry

Well this weekend's snow was a little disappointing to be honest, only an inch or so covering here in Newton Aycliffe.  Still, makes for some lovely pics out in the yard and has given us a chance to see the activities of the wildlife we share our premises with.  Mr Fox has been chasing the rabbits all night but no evidence that he managed to catch any!

Has anyone else got snow pics from their location?
