Useful Guide To Selling Your Surplus Process Equipment

We've put together some brief points to consider when selling your surplus process equipment. These points should hopefully help you to gain the maximum return on your assets.

  1. Documentation. If possible, sell your equipment with its technical documentation, service history, drawings etc. as this is what most buyers will look for.
  2. Spares. If you have any spares, include them with the equipment.  This will be a big bonus for anyone looking to purchase the unit, knowing they won't need to buy any at an additional cost.
  3. Removal. Make sure that the removal of equipment is done correctly to avoid damage to your equipment.
  4. Show it off. Get some photographs to show the equipment as it is now, to give you a realistic price for its condition as it is.  Take internal and external photographs, nameplates, inlet and outlet points etc.
  5. Trade In. Are you selling in order to upgrade? Perry offer the option to trade your surplus assets against the cost of purchasing an item from our stock.

  1. I agree with your first step that is documentation. It's not dealing with the age of your machine but how your selling technique is. People are savvy to get the best products. They will skip if they find something fraudulent. Uploading some images will explain your equipment directly so that it can convince customers you are a real person.
