The staff of Perry Process Equipment Ltd are raising money this Christmas for Butterwick Hospice on Friday 13th December 2013. Each and every day, Butterwick Hospice help people living with a life limiting illness, relieving symptoms, enriching patient's lives and supporting them and their loved ones.

Butterwick Hospice aim to improve the quality of life for those who have a life limiting illness and their families and to help them relate positively to every challenge they may encounter during their illness and to see death as part of life’s journey.

Butterwick Hospice cares for up to 200 patients and their loved ones every day. All of their services are provided completely free of charge, as they rely on donations to continue to care for patients. Butterwick Hospice serves a diverse area, supporting people and their families in Teesside, County Durham, North Yorkshire and Wearside. General fundraising is a constant activity for Butterwick Hospice, as they receive a much smaller percentage of legacies in comparison to other hospices nationally as they serve less affluent areas. Historically they have relied heavily on their communities for support.

Butterwick’s Children’s Hospice, Butterwick House, is a happy, child friendly and homely environment where children can play and relax. Experienced sick children’s nurses and nursery nurses can take over the families caring responsibilities. The specialised facilities help to enrich children’s lives and at the end of the child’s life families feel they are among friends who will support them.
